“Understandably, people are often hesitant to move forward with a divorce because they are uncertain of the legal consequences. I say, life is too short to spend it with someone who does not make you happy. I want to help people resolve the conflicts that come with divorce so they can more easily move on with their lives.

Practicing family law is exciting to me because no two people have the same story and each client’s situation is unique and personal. Such diversity challenges me to think creatively, fully understand my client’s needs and desires, and incorporate their unique circumstances into negotiations and litigation strategies. I use common sense and open communication to make the divorce process more comfortable, while allowing my clients to take control and make informed decisions about their future.

My practice includes more than just divorces. I also handle property and relationship agreements for same-sex or unmarried couples, as well as parenting agreements for people in alternative family arrangements.

Born and raised in Charlotte, I left this great city only briefly to earn a Political Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I have had the advantage of working for Hatcher Law Group prior to attending law school, as well as during my three years of law school. This extension of my legal training broadened my base of legal knowledge and allowed me to gain practical experience in the area of family law. I consistently use this on-the-job training to be more efficient in my practice and bring value, as well as peace of mind, to all my clients.”
