According to N.C.G.S. 50B, an "act of domestic violence" is defined as either:

Attempting to cause bodily injury;
Intentionally (not accidentally) causing bodily injury; or
Placing you or a member of your family or household in fear of imminent serious bodily injury;
Committing an act of child sexual abuse
