Your 50B Order will be valid throughout North Carolina and in other states.  Always keep a copy with you.  If the Order covers your children, be sure to give a copy to their school, daycare and baby-sitter.  If you move to a new city, it is a good idea to take a copy to your local police department to make sure it is registered with them.  Generally, the Order will be effective in stopping domestic violence, but you should always keep an updated safety plan just in case you are confronted by your abuser in the future.
