Hatcher Law Group, for the second year in a row, was named by the Mecklenburg County Bar as the recipient of the Outstanding Small Firm Pro Bono Award.   This award is given each year to the Small Firm (defined as twenty-four attorneys or less) who has contributed back to the community by providing free legal or other community services.  The firm was selected for this award based upon its ongoing partnership with Victim's Assistance of Mecklenburg County which helps victims of domestic violence as well as its support of the United Family Services Project and the Mecklenburg County Women's Commision.  

Attorneys at the Hatcher Law Group volunteer their time working with and representing victims of domestic violence in order to help them obtain orders of protection and helping train other attorneys to do the same. Attorneys also volunteer their time speaking at the monthly family law seminars at the Mecklenburg County Women's Commission.  In 2008 alone, the Hatcher Law Group's eight attorneys and staff donated more than 335 hours of their time helping victims of domestic violence and supporting the work of the Victim's Assistance Program, the United Family Services Project and the Women's Commission.  At the Hatcher Law Group, we are honored to serve our community by supporting these vitally important programs.
